Little V Rotterdam

INTERIOR DESIGN FOR VIETNAMESE RESTAURANT “LITTLE V” ROTTERDAM

LittleV is located at the junction of three unique public realms of Rotterdam, Blaak market, Laurenskerk and Grotekerkplein. The condition of the space surrounded by the full window on the sunny side and extra ceiling height gave the inspiration to create an “Interiored exterior” space in a pan-Asian sphere. A full of plants and trees brought in the space strengthen that intention as if this space is an extension of a public space just in front of the restaurant. Some elements in the restaurant are created as “pavilions” in this indoor patio-like space. Materials used in the space are strictly limited to reclaimed, highly aged, materials that help to enrich a couple of hours of your theatrical/fictional time experiencing in this restaurant and freed you from the sense of time and context.
