Blue Folly

OUD-ZUILEN

A FOLLY CONNECTS A HOUSE TO THE RIVER

A brand new estate in a contemporary setting of Villa, boat house, wood deck and garden is currently missing a typical grandeur of the mansions along the River Vecht.
Respecting the view from the house to the river a new garden object is implemented that fulfill wishes of better sun and relaxing with family and friends in midsummer nights.
The existing wood deck is transformed into a generous sofa with a sunglass shelter above that intimates the space. An enormous curved singular sheet of glass is placed on four chrome metal sticks. The object represents the contemporary version of a historical folly along the River Vecht.
